Built in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh, the Hawa Mahal is renowned for its distinctive honeycomb-like structure with over 900 intricately carved windows or “jharokhas.”

The palace’s unique design was intended to allow royal women to observe everyday life and festivals in the street below while maintaining their privacy due to the lattice-like windows.
